A Read Aloud can be included in your language art block, after lunch, or even at the end of the day. Since students can listen on a higher level than they can read, read alouds are perfect opportunities to expose students to different types of books, as a community of learners, while the teacher can model reading strategies in an enjoyable format. Whole class discussion of themes can take place as well.
